The September meeting of DAUG will again be at the Downers Grove Public Library on Saturday 15th at 10AM but this time the meting will last until 2PM. I know some can’t make it on Saturday but other can’t make the Monday meetings.

The primary meeting topic is music so we’d like anybody involved with computers and music to share their knowledge with us. This includes composition with programs like Sebelius and Finale, those who use Garage Band (music and podcasting?), our performance friends who understand MIDI, and any others out there.

Don’t plan on bringing a symphony orchestra but if you have a MIDI keyboard and can demonstrate it, BRING IT ON!

Same with other USB audio equipment.

PS. We will also demo the iPhone, iWork08, iLife08, and we will discuss the new iMacs and the new iPod Nanos. If anyone has either to share as a demo, please bring it along.

You need to join the DAUG Google Group. Please include your real name when signing up as it will help the group managers find your membership record.

Once you join, you can post a message using either a web browser or your E-mail application.

If you setup a GMail.com account specific to any Google Groups and select to receive messages using your E-mail program and use the standard account settings, you will not see your original message. A work around this is to not use GMail’s outgoing (smtp) server, but use your default (ComCast, Earthlink, etc.)
